OPEN POSITIONS
IN THIS ORGANIZATION

     If you are reading the above heading and thinking that there may be paid job openings within this organization, then I hate to disappoint you, but that isn't currently the case. I'm not yet earning any money from this fledgeling ministry myself. I am not in any position to pay anyone else, nor am I likely to be in such a position for some time to come.

     However, if you fully understand the potential which is inherent in my vision for this ministry, then I am eager to discuss the possibility of finding a role for you within this organization on a voluntary basis. I hope to find other qualified individuals who share my vision, and who are willing and able to share in some of the responsibilities and privileges of leadership with me. If and when I am able to find such people, they will naturally receive public credit for their work on this web site as well. If and when it becomes feasible for me to offer monetary compensation to those who perform work on behalf of this ministry, I will be willing to discuss that possibility at that time.

     While it isn't currently feasible for me to hire anyone or to offer monetary compensation in exchange for work done on behalf of this ministry, it may be feasible for me to use this web site in order to furnish any volunteer worker with benefits which can indirectly impact that person's financial well being in a positive way.

     For example, I am willing and able to create a page on this web site (or on a related subsite) which can be used in order to promote an existing business or ministry of yours. Doing so would not significantly affect my own financial situation, and it could potentially help you to improve your own financial situation quite a bit.

VOLUNTEER POSITION NUMBER ONE: Web Programming and E-Commerce

     Regarding my need to partner with others, I think that my most immediate need is to find someone willing to help me with the programming aspects of creating and maintaining e-commerce functionality on this site, in coordination with PayPal and/or Google Checkout.

     In the short term, I plan to simply set up a system whereby people can print out PDF order forms and send payments through the mail, but I understand that some folks want the ability to quickly order online without having to make out money orders and fill out paper forms and mail those items to me. Consequently, one of my priorities is to set up a genuine and secure e-commerce system, although I'll probably also continue to offer the ability to pay offline as well, since there are some folks who still distrust e-commerce, even through companies as established and well-respected as PayPal and Google.

     In addition to setting up an e-commerce system, I would also want the aforementioned person to be able to do advanced web programming. I have knowledge of HTML, of course, and a certain amount of training regarding Flash (although my personal opinion is that Flash's relevance to what I want to do here is fairly minimal at present). What I don't know much about is things such as ASP (Active Server Pages) and the like. I do have some experience designing and maintaining Microsoft Access databases, however, so I think that I could eventually turn this into a dynamic, data-driven web site, provided that I had help from someone more knowledgeable about such things than I.

VOLUNTEER POSITION NUMBER TWO: Fundraising and Non-Profit Incorporation

     Another leadership position I would like to fill would pertain to someone who was gifted in the area of setting up nonprofit corporations, and equally gifted in terms of fundraising for nonprofit organizations. I've been doing some research, so I'm not entirely ignorant about that aspect, but it would be very useful for me to find a partner with more knowledge and expertise in that area than I possess.

     If you're an attorney with experience in setting up nonprofit corporations, and if you're willing to do some work on a pro bono basis in exchange for publicity for your legal practice or some other benefit which I am actually in a position to offer, please contact me ASAP to discuss such matters.

ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER POSITIONS: Board of Advisors and Board of Directors

     I also seek to begin dialogue with those who might be interested in serving on a Board of Advisors, and eventually, on a Board of Directors. As time goes by, I will be posting additional information pertaining to what I'm looking for with regard to board members on both of those boards.

     Again, the aforementioned positions would all be volunteer positions for the time being, for the simple reason that there isn't yet any money with which to pay anyone. However, provided that the Lord is really behind this project (as I believe), that won't always be the case. My success is your success. Help me to succeed, and I will do my best to insure that you are properly compensated for your efforts.
